Our Mission

To relieve the suffering of animals requiring care, rescue, rehabilitation, sanctuary, protection or shelter; mainly, but not wholly, in Eastern Europe as well as in the UK; who are displaced, mistreated, sick, abandoned, abused or under threat of euthanasia by removing them to safe shelter, foster care or kennels and providing for their needs until a new home can be found.

To educate the public in matters pertaining to animal welfare in general and the prevention of cruelty and suffering among animals.

Our Purpose

We work as a group of dedicated individuals to liaise with rescuers across the UK and Europe to remove animals from dangerous, unhealthy or life threatening situations and find them suitable safe shelter and veterinary care.

We support the rescuers to promote the education of school children and other groups by means of literature and lectures, about stopping animal cruelty, improving animal welfare and of reducing the stray population by the trap neuter release (TNR) system.

Adoption

Our Adoption donation varies between £395 & £525 depending mainly on the age of the dog, but we also consider lesser donations for our dogs that are more in need i.e disabled, disfigured, or those requiring palliative care. This donation covers the cost of transport, vet prep to travel as well as an amount to help us rescue another dog from Kill Shelter into the space your dogs has left behind.
Please talk to us about ways to pay the donation, as finding good homes for our dogs is paramount. We make the journey out to Romania once or twice a year to meet in person, photograph, document and assess our dogs - so we can offer accurate information about them to fosters and adopters.
Our dogs from Eastern Europe are fully UK legal (Balai directive). They are micro-chipped to you and us. They are vaccinated against Rabies and the standard diseases (DHPPI & L). They will have an EU passport. They will be blood tested for the 4 main tick borne diseases (Anaplasmosis, Heartworm, Ehrlichia & Lyme disease) as well as a snap test for Brucellosis Canis*
We also test for Leishmania and Babesiosis (if coming from a region affected by these diseases). They will be neutered if old enough or subject to neutering contract if not.
We prefer for our dogs to come into the UK direct to one of our Lincolnshire based fosterers, where you can meet them and we can assess their suitability for your lifestyle, their temperament and needs in a home. Our dogs are transported to the UK by licensed transporters in vans with Air Conditioning.
We provide lifetime Rescue Back up-we are always here for our adopters, and if an adoption fails - the dog comes back to us, not into the UK shelter system.

*Brucellosis Canis - is classified as low risk in the UK, but some vets may request a blood test is taken in the UK at least 3 months after the dog arrives in the UK.
There is a lot of misinformation being given from Veterinary Practices surrounding a positive test result, so we would refer you to this fantastic and well informed facebook page, supported by a Registered Veterinary Nurse to do your own informed research if you have questions.
